Quality Engineering is a contract machine shop, doing small and large quantity stamping, maintenance machining, welded assemblies and milling, cylindrical and centerless grinding, electroplating, and heat treating of parts. The company has the capability to design and build its own jigs fixtures and dies which prevent production delays.
As of June 30, 2005 Quality Engr. & Tool Co. Changed to Woman owned when Ginger Moody took over. She started with the company in 1968 as Sec/Recpt. And then went into shipping in 1972. In 1992 she started purchasing tools for the shop. And in 1995 took over all purchasing of not only tools but Mat'ls for jobs. She became partner with her husband in 1998 becoming Vice Pres. & Treasurer. At which time she started taking over most of the daily corporation tasks, including Business Insurance, Health Insurance, and dealing with the customers. As President she continues with everything as before and also oversees every aspect of the office and works closely with the shop getting updates on deliveries for customers. Quality Engineering and Tool Co. has stayed on top of things with computer controlled equipment, or CNC machines that do the work, in less time and with less manpower. Over the years they have gone from manual machines to tracer lathes and mills. We do almost any type of sub-contract work from turnings, milling, keywaying and planer work, refurbishing or reconditioning brake dies and even making new brake dies. We also do welding and fabrication work.
Some of Quality Engineerings customers are TACOM, DSCC, DSCR, DSCP, CNH, Volvo, H&R Parts, NorcaTech, ABB, Lancaster Metals and BAE Anniston.
